Due to its textile industry, Faisalabad is also known as Manchester of Pakistan,but its agricultural basis in the Punjab where irrigated cropping of wheat, rice, cotton and fodder crops cultivated for livestock prevail, is equally strong.

Total area of Faisalabad is 589755 hectares out of which cultivated area is 475268 hectares. Tje area for forests in Faisalabad is 1174 hectares.
The district of Faisalabad comprises of 5856 km square.

Faisalabad has annual rainfall of 550 mm with maximum and minimum temperature of 50°C to -1°C.There are two main cropping seasons i.e. Winter(Rabi) and Summer(Kharif).

MAIZE:
